Kyle Wentworth, the founder of Wentworth Consulting Group, is an Operational Maturity Consultant, Information Systems Security Professional, and dynamic leader with decades of proven success in creating, developing, and managing IT services, MSP/MSSP practices, and security-focused technology solutions. He is an innovative engineer and strategist who helps organizations design, integrate, and secure the systems they depend on to run their business.
Kyle has been shaped by a lifetime of leadership. He comes from one of the largest all–active-duty military families on record—nine immediate family members who served, including his father, a World War II and Korean War Veteran, and eight siblings. Kyle served nine years in the U.S. Army as an Information Systems Security Officer, earning recognition for exceptional training, discipline, and technical proficiency. After his military service, he was recruited by the Department of Energy’s Los Alamos National Laboratory, where he spent three years as a security engineer and high-impact problem solver supporting one of the nation’s most critical scientific environments.
With more than 35 years in the technology industry, Kyle brings a rare blend of technical depth, business acumen, and operational clarity. He excels at uncovering organizational needs, simplifying complex technology challenges, and guiding leaders toward secure, scalable, and economically sound decisions. His expertise spans Business, Application, and Technical Process Modeling; cybersecurity and GRC frameworks such as NIST, SOC 2, and CMMC; and the operational maturity disciplines that help companies build stronger, more efficient, and more resilient organizations. Kyle’s mission is to equip businesses with the tools, structure, and insight needed to operate confidently and successfully in an increasingly complex technology landscape.
